We Got The Sauce!

To live in Nairobi is to have enjoyed street food at least once in your life. From Smokie Pasua, Mayai Gonga, Mahindi Choma & the mother of them all…Chipo Mwitu! Nairobi is a haven when it comes to affordable street food that you can enjoy on the go.

That said, it is officially Customer Service Week & you might be wondering, what does Customer Service Week have to do with Street Food? Read on and I will explain :)

2022 marks the 31st year of celebrating Customer Service Week. Customer Service Week which happens every first week of October has seen many an organization across the globe use this week to recognize and celebrate the value of service provided by the teams in their organizations.

This year, the theme for the C. S week is Celebrate Service & boy, did we do it the AfricaSokoni way! We decided, while we were going to do something internally to celebrate the teams, we were also going to hit the streets and celebrate those vendors who are out in the sun every single day so that they can make sure you have these ready snacks on the go.

We chose to celebrate the Chipo Mwitu vendors :) And to do this, we sent in 2 members of our Digital & Customer Service teams to go and pay them a visit, while, of course bearing gifts. The whole gist of the visit was, to make them feel appreciated. To talk to them and get a feel of what their day-to-day is like and most importantly know that we, as Africasokoni celebrate their service to us!
